40 Grip - 38 Mechanism Clipless Click Pen - C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze - Triple Bevel Nose - Pentel EnerGel Needle Tip

A hefty C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze unit with an increased grip diameter and a new  nose with three angles. 

Grip diameter is bumped out to 0.40" (10.16mm). Mechanism in the 0.38"(9.65 mm) diameter. Smooth and tough C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze. Uses a 1/8" (0.125") Stainless Steel bearing ball. Tip details are extremely tight with a small land between the refill, and the primary tip angle, which is the tightest yet.

Minimal and clean design for the Pentel EnerGel Needle Tip refills. Proper allowance and a custom precision spring allow the refill to operate smoothly. 

Pinch the mechanism between your index finger and thumb to retract the mechanism with a satisfying snap. The click and return is very solid and super satisfying. Tolerances, fit and finish for the mechanism are very close.

Tip point details are very clean with an excellent tight fitting 2.30 mm diameter bore and a tolerance of just 25 micron to keep the refill tip exactly in place.

Higbee thread start to the pen body to make the thread action for replacing the refill better. Added a new locking feature that should keep the mechanism from unscrewing without the need for an o-ring or loctite.

This version is 5.26" (133.60 mm) long, 0.40" (10.16 mm) in grip diameter, and weighs 42.90 g (1.51 oz).
